PURPOSE:To improve an apparent picture quality by storing preliminarily the position of occurrence of a white flaw and outputting a correcting signal if a solid-state pickup element coincides with this stored position when the solid- state image pickup element is scanned. CONSTITUTION:The sum of signals one period before and after a video signal appearing in a terminal (a) by delay circuits 5-7 for delay of a one-horizontal scanning time is taken out, and the correcting signal due to interpolation is generated and is transmitted to a terminal (b). The position of a white flaw of a solid-state image pickup element 1 is stored preliminarily in a memory 4, and a computer 3 scans the solid-state image pickup element through a scanning controller 2 to read out its contents. It is checked whether they coincide with the position of a white flaw stored in the memory 4 or not; and if they coincide with each other, a switch means 8 is connected to the terminal (b) to output the correcting signal. |
