PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for molding alloy powder for a rare earth sintered magnet capable of improving the magnetic properties of a rare earth sintered magnet and capable of improving safety, and to provide a method for carrying the same. SOLUTION: The molding device 1 is provided with: an atmosphere-controlled chamber 10 controlled to a gaseous mixture atmosphere of a nonoxidizing gas and gaseous oxygen; a press machine 18 provided inside the atmosphere-controlled chamber 10 and subjecting raw material powder to press molding; and a take-out apparatus 19 provided at the inside of the atmosphere-controlled chamber 10, and carrying the pressed moldings PE to a firing tray 22. The take-out apparatus 19 has a constitution of being driven by a servomotor so as to move uniaxially, can be correctly controlled without complicate control, and has a small working space, thus the miniaturization of the atmosphere-controlled chamber 10 and the control/management of the atmosphere are facilitated. For the purpose of arranging the moldings PE on the firing tray 22 so as to be matrix shape by the uniaxially moving take-out apparatus 19, the firing tray 22 is arranged on a stage 23, and the firing tray 22 is moved, thus their arrangement in a row at high precision is made possible.
