PURPOSE:To prevent every part of a parking brake device from being compulsively rotated upon starting by erroneous operation, by disabling the parkig brake device from being operated when a speed change operating lever is positioned other than its neutral position. CONSTITUTION:The U-like cross-sectioned shape part of a parking association arm 2 which is swung around a shaft 29 by a parking brake operating wire 32 when speed change bosses 5, 5 selectively engaged and slid by the operation of a speed change operating lever 3 take their neutral positions, is formed so that may receive bosses 5, 5 to tow the parking brake operating wire 32 for operating a parking brake. Since either one of both bosses 5, 5 is in its shift position, with the exception of the neutral position, the U-like cross-sectioned shape part of the parking association arm 2 cannot receive the bosses 5 so that it abuts against them, thereby the parking brake operating wire 32 cannot be towed. |
