PURPOSE:To perform multi-color painting without requiring not only a surface roughening process but also a polishing process, by a method wherein a second color paint film is formed during the semi-cured state of a first color paint film and, thereafter, both paint films are perfectly cured. CONSTITUTION:A first color paint film is formed on an object to be painted and, during the semi-cured state of this film, a second color paint film is formed and, subsequently, both paint films are perfectly cured. By this method, the surface roughening process in a multi-color painting method and the polishing process in a change over step can be avoided and workability and productivity are enhanced.
