PURPOSE:To obtain a three-component separating type liquid cyclone, by mounting a discharge pipe for taking out a coarse particle-containing component toward a tangential direction to a lower end while mounting a central falling stream discharge pipe arranged in coaxial relation to the central axis of a main body. CONSTITUTION:The pulp suspension introduced from a pipe 1 reaches the lower end of a vortex stream chamber 3 of a cyclone apparatus main body and the coarse particles in said pulp suspension are collected in the vicinity of the inner wall of the vortex stream chamber by the centrifugal force of the primary vortex stream in an outer layer to be taken out of a discharge pipe 5 attached to the tangential direction from the wall surface of the lower end of the lower vortex stream chamber in the cyclone apparatus without being mixed with the secondary vortex stream in an inner layer. In this case, a central falling stream containing a large amount of fine fibers and staple fibers is taken out apart from the coarse particle component by a central falling stream discharge pipe 6 arranged in coaxial relation to the central axis of the main body in the vortex stream chamber. A good fiber-containing component is taken out from a flooding riser pipe 4 while subjected to rotary spiral motion by the secondary vortex stream in the inner layer.
