The system has a combustion chamber (1) having an attached exit gas line arrangement (3, 5) for exhaust gases. A controllable mechanism (7, 17, 23, 29, 33, 64) influences operating conditions of the combustion chamber. A flow measuring instrument (35) is provided to record the exhaust gas flow in the exit gas line arrangement. The control equipment (53) in addition steers the mechanism to influence the operating conditions of the combustion chamber in accordance with the condition of the measurement effects of the flow measuring instrument.
