PURPOSE:To improve adhesion between rubber and brass, by blending a 2-R-4- R'-6-hydroxyphenoxy-1,3,5-triazine, a thiazol vulcanization accelerator and sulfur with a raw rubber. CONSTITUTION:2.8X10<-3>-28X10<-3>mol of a 2-R-4-R'-6-hydroxyphenoxy-1,3,5- triazine of the formula (wherein R is amino, chloroamino; R' is Cl, H), 1.5X10<-3>-10.5X10<-3>mol of a thiazol vulcanization accelerator and 1-5pts.wt. sulfur are blended with 100pts.wt. raw rubber. Examples of the 2-R-4-R'-6-hydroxyphenoxy-1,3,5-triazines are 2-chloro-4-amino-6-hydroxyphenoxy-1,3,5-triazine and 2-chloroamino-4-hydroxyphenoxy-1,3,5-triazine.
