METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COMPOSITE WORKING OF STEEL MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To enable composite working of rolling and metallic surface treating with a simple addition of a plating device to a rolling line in high temp. plastic working of a steel material by pouring the surface part of the steel material in a plating soln. during the stage of said plastic working and performing plating. CONSTITUTION:A plating pipe 2 which is formed by reducing both ends thereof and into which a steel pipe under rolling is passed is disposed between roll stands 1 of a hot rolling mill. On the other hand, a plating soln. vessel 5 having an automatic regulator 3 for concn. of the soln. and an automatic regulator 4 for temp. is provided and a plating soln. 7 is fed into the pipe 2 by a pump 6 so that the soln. 7 is poured on the steel material. The overflowing soln. 7 is returned through a piping 8 to the tank 5 so as to be recycled. The plating is accomplished by applying a potential difference between the steel material and the plating soln. so that the plating is performed quickly.
