PURPOSE:To provide a primer which consists of an aluminum alcoholate or an aluminum chelate compd. and insures strong adhesion of non-polar or highly crystalline plastic materials with a cyanoacrylate-based adhesive. CONSTITUTION:The primer for an cyanoacrylate-based adhesive consists of an aluminum alcoholate or an aluminum chelate compd. (e.g. aluminum isopropylate or aluminum ethyl acetoacetate diisopropylate). It insures strong adhesion of nonpolar or highly crystalline plastic materials (e.g. polyethylene or polyethylene terephthalate) which have so far been difficult to bond, by the use of a cyanoacrylate-based adhesive.
