PURPOSE:To facilitate a stable potential without deteriorating an ion selective electrode by covering the outside of the electrode with a protective film of silicone system polymer which does not contain ammonium and amine family. CONSTITUTION:A silver chloride layer is formed on a silver rod 1 by electrolytic treatment in an electrolytic solution containing chloride ions using the silver rod 1 as an anode. A polyvinyl chloride layer forming solution, composed of a prescribed composition of polyvinyl chloride resin, its plastisizer, potasium chloride powder and tetrahydroflane as a solvent, is prepared and then the surface of the above mentioned silver chloride layer is coated with that solution and, after being dried, a poly silver chloride layer is formed. Then silicone system polymer is applied on the above mentioned polyvinyl chloride layer and dried to form a silicone system polymer layer. Thus a collation electrode is obtained. |
