A headlight system for fitting on a side of a vehicle, the headlight (10) being swivellable by means of an actuation element (26) from a position in which it is withdrawn into the side of the vehicle into a folded-out, active position in which the headlight is resiliently fixed in order to permit swivelling-in movements if the headlight (10) strikes against an obstacle, characterised in that the actuation element is a torsional spring (26) which can be stressed in two directions and engages on the headlight in order to swivel it into and out of its active position (Fig. 2). <IMAGE> |
