PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal noise from being produced while relaxing the surging of a compressor by inserting into a large diameter coil a small diameter coil having an outer diameter formed slightly larger than the internal diameter of the large diameter coil. CONSTITUTION:A small diameter coil 42 of a double coil spring 4 is formed slightly larger in its outer diameter than the internal diameter of a large diameter coil 41. They are adapted to make close contact with each other at all positions on respective effective wound parts. For example, the pitch of the small diameter coil is formed larger by about 0.1-0.5mm. than that of the large diameter coil 41. When suspending a compressor body 5 by means of this double coil spring 4, the outer peripheral part of the small diameter coil 42 makes close contact with the inner peripheral part of the large diameter coil 41 at all positions on the effective wound part A of the double coil spring. Hereby, the large and small diameter coils are reduced in their mutual resonance due to a damper effect.
