WEIGHT DROP PREVENTIVE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To instantaneously prevent weight from dropping due to rupture of electric car wire or so in a weight loading tension balancer which gives a needed tension to the electric car wire by springing oscillating levers open widely to make a movable frame engage a guide rod. CONSTITUTION:A weight loading tension balancer has large and small pulleys W and (w) pivotally supported via brackets 1 and 2 by a pole P. The large and small pulleys W and (w) are wired with ropes 4 and 3 of suspending a weight G and tensing an electric wire, respectively. The weight G is mounted on a frame F elevatable along left and right rods 7 and 7 which are supported by the pole P via upper and lower brackets 5 and 6 and is suspended by the rope 4 via a suspending rod 22. A drop preventive means is disposed inside the frame F. The drop preventive means is constituted such that when the electric car wire is suptured, oscillating levers 13 are turned by the force of a spring 9 to make their free ends into frictional contact with the rods 7, which prevents the frame F from dropping along with the weight G.
