The device has a monoblock chip (1) including a round shaped retaining bracket (2) that has a hollow interior (3) for housing the bracket by being locked in a cavity (5). The cavity is formed in a wooden object (4) e.g. wooden fiber, to be identified and to be integrated as a component of an assembly such as handling pallet. The cavity is obtained with molding by previously positioning in a mold of a hollow receptacle which is an integrating part of the object after removal from the mold. The receptacle receives and retains the bracket.
