The device has a ceiling (11) arranged in slant manner with respect to a plane passing through a lower edge (9`) of a lateral wall (9) so that height of a chip collecting chamber increases in diametric direction in direction of an exhaust tube (8). Fixation units are formed by diametrically opposite detent hooks situated on spring blades that extend parallel to the wall (9). A peripheral annular space (28) surrounds the wall and has an annular shaped ceiling arranged parallel to and remote from the ceiling.
