PURPOSE:A roll material which has low heat build-up and forms a roll of a good dimensional stability, a long life and high reliability, prepared by using an isocyanato group-terminated urethane prepolymer and a polyurethane elastomer as principal materials. CONSTITUTION:This roll material consists mainly of a polyurethane elastomer obtained by reacting (i) an isocyanato group-terminated urethane prepolymer obtained by reacting W1pts.wt. polyol (A) having an MW (MW1)>=500 and an (average) OH functionality F1>=2 with W2pts.wt. organic polyisocyanate having an (average) NCO functionality F2>=2 with (ii) W3pts.wt. polyol (B) having an MW (MW3)<=5,000 and an (average) OH functionality F3>=2.2, wherein at least one of polyols A and B has an epsilon-caprolactone chain in the molecule, and the crosslinking density CD of the polyurethane elastomer as determined from the equation is at least 0.085.
