PURPOSE:To improve precision by storing the external diameter value of every unwinding turn of a rewinder, calculating plate thickness from a constant obtained by approximation to a primary function, and then calculating the remaining length. CONSTITUTION:When the number of pulses generated by a pulse generator 16 is denoted as PB' while the rewinder 10 makes one turn, the external diameter D of the rewinder 10 is calculated from D=PB'/PB.DB. Then, the rewinder 10 makes (n) turns and (n) pieces of data on the external diameter value are stored in an external storage device 20 and a function generator 24 performs approximation to the primary function. Then the plate thickness (h) is calculated by a plate thickness arithmetic device 26 and then the remaining length L is calculated by a remaining length calculating device 28. |
