PURPOSE:To match the whole circuit with an input and an output line without forcing individual amplifiers to meet matching requirements by constituting two input and output branched lines asymmetrically, and canceling reflected waves at both branch points and between input and output terminals of the amplifiers. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that the characteristic admittance values of input branch lines are represented as Y1 and Y2, the amount of phase shifting corresponding to branch line lengths are denoted as phi1 and phi2, and microwave lines 7 and 8 have the same characteristic admittance Y0. Input and output terminals of each element amplifier are not matched in this invention, so part of an input wave to the input terminal of each amplifier is reflected. When coefficients of reflection at input terminals of the respective amplifiers are represented as tau1 and tau2, characteristics are set satisfying an equation. Reflected waves from the amplifiers are equal in amount and out of phase with each other at an input branch point 5 as far as the equation is satisfied, so they cancel each other, so that no reflected wave component is present at the input side of the branch point 5. An output branch line 4 is exactly the same.
