PURPOSE:To reduce weight of a welding machine and electric power consumption by providing a sliding power feed part to the secondary circuit of the welding machine in such a way that the secondary winding of a transformer constituting said circuit is movable relatively with iron cores and can deal with the pressing operation of a gun as well. CONSTITUTION:Iron cores 11, 12 are inserted to a secondary coil 10 consisting of pipe-shaped conductive members 10A, 10B to constitute a transformer 8 which is brought into contact with the members 10A, 10B slidably therebetween by a power feeder 16. The transformer 8 is fixed to a robot arm and works are positioned between the electrode chips 6 and 7 of a gun 1. A piston 14, that is, the member 10A, is moved according to the operation of a pressing cylinder supported by an equalizing mechanism 25 and the member 10B is relatively moved when the cylinder 13 is floated by the reaction of the pressurization. The need for a flexible tube of a spot gun with a transformer is thus eliminated, and the area of the space enclosed by the secondary circuit is decreased. The weight and electric power consumption is thus reduced. |
