PURPOSE:To make stacking process of an electrode group easy by reducing the width of an electrode which is inserted into a separator and forming a separator and other electrode in equal width. CONSTITUTION:A separator 3 has a large number of ribs in a vertical direction and is folded in a U shape, and its both sides are melt-bonded to form a bag, then a positive electrode 1 is inserted into the bag. The width of the separator into which the positive electrode 1 is inserted is made equal to that of a negative electrode 2, and height of the positive electrode inserted in the separator is made equal to that of the negative electrode, and height of the separator is made higher than that of the negative electrode. Lugs 9 and 10 are welded to straps 11 and 12, and the strap 12 on a negative electrode side is connected to a strap 11 on a positive electrode side by a conductor through a partition. The separator into which the positive electrode 1 is inserted and the negative electrode 2 are alternately stacked with their lower ends and sides aligned to easily form the electrode group. |
