An apparatus for permanent wave is provided to represent strong wave of various designs to hair effectively due to a small bent angle of the hair by forming so that the upper surface of an upper heating head part is not protruded from the edge of a heating plate. An apparatus for permanent wave includes: upper and lower handles(210a,210b) selectively closed and spread while being pivoted based on a first hinge shaft(H1); and upper and lower heating head parts(220,230) respectively installed on the front ends of the upper and lower handles. The upper heating head part has a heating plate(222) with an edge that the hair can be bent for formation of wave.
