PURPOSE:To prevent intensity of illumination of external light from becoming difficult to see in a bright place by detecting automatically a fact that a liquid crystal display device has been detached from a body, and stopping an operation of a light source of the inside. CONSTITUTION:A display panel 37 is detached from a body 31 and held by a transparent screen 36 by some means so that a picture is seen by a human eye 38. A display part 37 is connected from the body 31 with a cable 35. In spite of a fact that external light is utilized, a battery in consumed when a back light surface of the inside is on, therefore, in order to prevent it, this device is constituted so that when the display panel part 37 is detached from the body 31, contact switches 33, 34 are detached automatically and a driving circuit 32 of a back-light light source 32 is stopped automatically. As a result, when the display panel part 37 is detached from the body 31, the light source 32 of the inside is stopped automatically. |
