PURPOSE:To produce a dense filmlike electrically conductive polymeric composition, useful for fields of electronic devices, and having a sufficient mechanical strength, by oxidizing a specific compound electrolytically in a nonuniform dispersion state in an electrolytic solution. CONSTITUTION:A compound selected from (A) benzene (derivative), e.g. phenol, (B) a heterocyclic five-membered ring compound containing one oxygen or nitrogen family element, e.g. pyrrole, and (C) a compound having plural rings, selected from benzene rings and the above-mentioned heterocyclic five-membered rings, and linked directly or through ether, sulfide, selenide or telluride bonds, e.g. diphenyl telluride, provided that at most two groups of halogens, OH, NH2 and 1-8C hydrocarbons and H are linked to the rings of the respective compounds is electrolytically oxidized in a nonuniform dispersion state 1 or 1', e.g. an emulsion or colloid.
