A procedure for the packaging of a group of consistently shaped objects (2) gathered on an assembly board (8) according to a predetermined pattern. The group (1) is conveyed to a revolving wrapping surface (12) moving on a vertical axle. This is axially vertically adjustable from the assembly board's (8) level to a position where the group's upper side (22) lies adjacent to a top stay (24). On being conveyed to the wrapping surface (12), one of the group's (1) corners (21) engages with a vertical, and taut, sheet-band (13) lying just below the upper edge (13') and diagonally positioned above the wrapping surface. The wrapping surface (12) is raised to said upper position under the movement of the sheet-band (13) located at the corner (21). The sheet-band is thereby clamped between the group's upper side (22) and the top-stay (24). A cutter and lateral movement device (16) cuts the sheet-band (13) and then pulls away. The wrapping surface (12) then revolves for one or more revolutions during the stretching of the sheet-band. The wrapping surface (12) is moved somewhat from the top stay (24) and the group (1) is conveyed from the board (12), during the simultaneous stretching of the sheet-band (13), past the cutter and lateral movement device (16), where after this moves the sheet-band (13) to the rear of the group's (1) edging (4), and the wrapping surface (12) takes up a lower position, so that a new group (1) can be introduced onto it.<IMAGE> |
