摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten a length of a crankshaft to facilitate a turn during a high speed driving by displacing one of the two cylinders neighboring each other in parallel 4-6 cylindered engine at one side including a crankshaft and the other to the opposite side. CONSTITUTION:Two cylinder groups 5a and 5a arranged alternately in a crank box 4 are displaced to the front direction by a distance S against a face F including an axial line of a crankshaft 3, while the other two groups 5b and 5b are displaced to the rear side of the face F by the distance S. Therefore, each cylinder 5a and 5b can be arranged in a zigzag shape on both sides of the crankshaft 3, and if the partition walls between the neighboring cylinders are fixed, the length of the engine in the crankshaft 3 direction can be shortened, so that the motorcycle can be tilted sharply for turning to facilitate the turn especially during a high speed driving.
