PURPOSE:To perform highly accurate detection, by mechanically linking plungers to the first and second syringe pumps, driving them at the same speed, and squeezing sample liquid flow stably at a constant thickness. CONSTITUTION:A motor 48 is driven, and a feeding screw 46 is rotated in the specified direction. Then, a linking plate 44 is moved in the direction of an arrow through the engagement of the feeding screw 46 and a threaded hole 45. Plungers 42 and 43 are linked to the linking plate 44 as a unitary body. Therefore the plungers are driven at the same speed. Adequate amounts of sheath liquid 38 and sample liquid 39 are accommodated in syringe pumps 40a and 41. When three-way valves 34 and 35 are switched, the plungers 42 and 43 are pushed, and the liquids are sent into a flow cell 31. Blood, which is dilluted by dilluting liquid, i.e. the sample liquid 39 and passed through an inner pipe 33, and the sheath liquid 38, which is passed through an outer pipe 32, are squeezed under the state the sample liquid is enclosed by the sheath liquid 38, and the water sheath is formed. |
