PURPOSE:To position a sensor easily and rapidly by automatically moving the sensor onto the positions of sheets of paper on which marks must be printed every time the positions of the marks differ. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic card 16 memorizing data for controlling the quantity of a sensor moved is entered to a magnetic card input section 24 for a sensor positioning device, and the coordinate data of a mark are read by a data discriminating section 25. The data are converted into left and right positions on a roller in a printer, inputted to a position comparison section 27, and compared with the positional signals of the snesor from a potentiometer 29 through a sensor position detecting section 28, and differential signals are transmitted over a rotation-direction control circuit 31 and a motor circuit 32 in order to control a control motor 30. The speed of revolution of the motor 30 is controlled through a speed control circuit 33 in response to the magnitudes of the differential signals. |
