PURPOSE:To make reproducing of dynamic pictures possible and to reproduce high-quality sound signals by subjecting a sound signal to FM modulation after converting it to a code of a digital signal and reproducing a video disc where this signal is subjected to FM modulation and is recorded together with a video signal. CONSTITUTION:The recording signal detected by a pickup 20 is amplified by a preamplifier 21 and is given to an FM demodulation circuit 22, and the video signal is outputted as a standard video signal from an output terminal 7 by a processing circuit 23. Meanwhile, the output signal of the FM demodulation circuit 22 is inputted to not only demodulation circuits 24 and 25 which are an FM demodulation means to demodulate the sound signal recorded in a conventional system but also an FM demodulation circuit 27 which is an FM demodulation means to demodulate the digitally recorded sound signal. A switching circuit 31 gives a switching signal to select the sound signal, which is recorded and reproduced in the conventional recording system, outputted from a noise reduction circuit 26 or the sound signal which is recorded and reproduced with the code of the digital signal outputted from a D/A converting circuit 30, and these sound signals are outputted to output terminals 5 and 6. |
