SYNCHRONIZING CIRCUIT OF PILOT SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To shorten the time up to a normal lock time point by inhibiting the switching of the pilot signal of the track to be reproduced until the concidence of type is obtained between the pilot signal of the track to be reproduced and that of the reproduced track when the reproduction is started and these pilot signals are locked. CONSTITUTION:A timing detecting circuit 8 detects the timing when a specific one of plural types of pilot signals is produced in a reproduction mode. At the same time, reproduction pilot signal detecting circuits 12, 16 and 18 detect a specific type of pilot signal out of the tape reproduction signal. The switching of each track is inhibitied for plural types of pilot signals when the reproduction pilot signal detecting circuit has no actuation while the circuit 8 is working. A control circuit 6 obtains the coincidence of type with synchronism between the pilot signal of the track to be reproduced and that of the reproduced track. Thus it is possible to shorten the time during which the above-mentioned coincidence of type of pilot signals is obtained and these pilot signals are locked.
