The invention relates to the foundry industry. The reservoir which is the subject of the invention is of the type comprising a body 1 and an air-permeable ferrule 2, placed in this body 1, the ferrule 2 and the body 1 comprising, for charging the moulding sand into the air-permeable ferrule 2, openings 3 which can be closed off by a damper (gate) 4, and the pneumatic chamber 7 formed between the body 1 and the ferrule 2 being in communication with a pneumatic valve, characterised in that inner surface of the body 1 and the air-permeable ferrule 2 have a spherical shape, and in that the damper (gate) 4 is produced with a spherical recess 10 which complements the spherical shape of the body 1 so as to form a complete sphere.
