<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a scroll member capable of improving mechanical characteristics in a central part of a spiral body to the same level as that of liquid metal forging cast process with all gravity die casting, in manufacturing the scroll member of a scroll type fluid machine. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing, by gravity die casting, a formed material before machining of the scroll member of the scroll type fluid machine in which the spiral body and a base plate are formed integrally, a portion corresponding to the central part of the spiral body of molten metal teemed inside a cavity of a die is forcedly cooled, so as to make the liquid metal have solidification directivity from the portion corresponding to the central part of the spiral body toward a portion corresponding to an outer peripheral part of the spiral body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
