Hydrants with a bypass separation point situated between a lower and an upper housing jacket pipe (5, 6) are provided here with at least one rupture joint containing a connecting screw (17). To design these rupture joints to be even more corrosion-proof and efficient, the individual rupture joint is equipped with a shearing bush (18) which is provided with oppositely bent edge flanges (18', 18"), the cylindrical part (18''') of which forms the actual rupture point. In this arrangement, the shearing bush (18) engages with its inner edge flange (18") under the head (17''') of the connecting screw (17) fixed to a jacket pipe (e.g. 5), and engages with its outer edge flange (18') over the other jacket pipe (e.g. 6). <IMAGE>
