During injection moulding container-like objects a mould cavity (2) of a mould is bounded by a core (5) and a jacket (4) divided in its longitudinal direction into two jackets parts (10). The mould is opened and closed by a relative axial displacement of the core (5) on the one hand of the jacket (4) on the other, and by a relative radial displacement of the jacket parts (10).
