For adjustment of rotor disc blades of centrifugal machines, it is proposed according to the invention to provide in the rotor disc hub 3 a two-stage epicyclic gear set 10, 11 in which the epicyclic gear set 10 is driven by a motor 12 which is situated in a watertight footstep bearing 14 arranged under the rotor disc hub 3. Epicyclic gear set 10 is coupled to epicyclic gear set 11 in such a way that the external gear 18 performs a relative movement with the adjusting nut 8 when the motor 12 is rotated relative to the rotor disc hub 3 and, via a slotted guide 5 connected to the adjusting nut 8, causes a rotation of the bearing journal 3 of the rotor disc blades 1 (Figure 1). Instead of by the epicyclic gear train 10, 11, the adjustment of the blades can alternatively be performed by means of a hydraulic piston 40 which is moved out of a sealed footstep bearing by means of a supply of oil. The hydraulic piston 40 is arranged centrally in the rotor disc hub 3 and connected to a slotted guide 5 which, as in the example of driving by an epicyclic gear train, effects the rotation of the bearing journals 2 of the rotor disc blades 1 (Figure 3). <IMAGE>
