摘要 PURPOSE:To extract and determine the sound speed and attenuation constant of a leaked wave to a body to be tested by providing the titled device with a function measuring the sound speed and attenuation of the related leaked wave simultaneously from a measured curve. CONSTITUTION:An output V(z) of an ultrasonic transducer 18 is constituted of a component incident from a part close to the center axis of a lens, reflected by the body 16 to be tested and then returned to the ultrasonic transducer 18 and a component incident at a leaked eleastic surface wave critical angle thetalsaw, transmitted on the surface of the body 16 to be tested by a certain distance and then returned to the ultrasonic transducer 18. A periodical dip output V(Z) superposed by an interference waveform between a leaked elastic surface wave component and a reflected wave component close to the center axis is obtained on a reference signal curve VR(Z). Waveform processing and analysis are performed from the periodicity on the basis of signal processing such as digital filter technique and fast Fourier transformation, so that the sound speed and attenuation of the leaked wave can be measured simultaneously.
