An instant coffee containing yam(Dioscorea alata) powder as a non-dairy creamer is provided to show new flavor while maintaining the specific taste of coffee by using a non-dairy creamer instead of general coffee creamers. An instant coffee containing yam(Dioscorea alata) powder as a non-dairy creamer comprises 100 parts of instant coffee granules and 30-50 parts of yam powder. The yam powder is prepared by freeze-drying the pulverized yam. The instant coffee preferably contains 30-40 parts of the yam powder. The 2-3 g of yam powder is more preferably added to a cup of coffee.
