METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING DRAWING PRESS

PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which prevents generation of a crack and wrinkle defect in a material to be pressed in formation using a drawing press die by adjusting the height and timing of a bead to apply tension on said material by means of a cam member or hydraulic mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A material W to be pressed is placed on a lower die 2 and un upper die 1 is brought down to restrain the material W. When a punch 11 descends, a cam member 12 contacts with a cam force transmitting member 10 and depresses a member 8. A bead 7 at the end of said member compresses and deforms the material W to apply tension against the deformation of the material pressed by the punch 11. The intensity and timing of the tension are adequately changeable according to the position and shape of the member 10 as well as the shape at the tip of the bead 7. A hydraulic mechanism may be incorporated for this bead mechanism. The generation of a crack and wrinkle in the material is prevented by the above-mentioned adjustment.
