PURPOSE:Yarn guides are set so that they can come out to the positions near above the yarn-running surface of the feed roller and go back to the original and the yarn is brought into contact with these guides at the coming-out position, then the guides are allowed to go back to the original to set the yarn on the feed roller on yarn winding whereby successful threading is increased in high-speed yarn winding. CONSTITUTION:In yarn winding around the winder 5 after passing around feed rollers 2, 2', two pairs of guides 3, 3, 3', 3' are set so that they can come out near above the yarn-running surface on the feed rollers 2, 2' and the yarn is brought into contact with these guides, e.g., by means of a suction gun and allowed to run for a while, as the feed rollers are left unengaged. Then, the yarn 1 is threaded to the winder drum 5 at the downstream of the feed rollers 2, 2' and synchronously the guides 3, 3, 3', 3' are allowed to go back to the original positions to complete the threading around the feed rollers.
