PURPOSE:To enhance the startability and heating ability of a heating device in which a combustion type hot water boiler is disposed in the circulation passage for engine cooling water, by disposing a four-way selector valve in the circulating passage to enable an engine and the boiler to be operated in combination or independently from each other. CONSTITUTION:A combustion air fan attached to a combustion type hot water boiler 13 is fitted on one of shafts of a motor 18, and a fuel pump 15 and a hot water circulating pump 17 may be driven by the other shaft of the motor through belts 22, 23, etc. Further, a four-way selector valve 30 having four pipe connecting ports A through D is disposed in a hot water circulating passage with the connecting port A being connected to the suction port of the pump 17 while the connecting port D is connected to the cooling water discharge port of an engine 1. A discharge pipe line 33 from the boiler 13 branches off into two pipe lines one 34 of which is connected to the inlet of a radiator 5 in the passenger's compartment 5 and the other one 35 of which is connected to the connecting port C. Further, a discharge pipe line 36 from the radiator 5 also branches off into two pipe lines one 37 of which is connected to the water return port of the engine 1 and the other one 38 of which is connected to the connecting port B. |
