PURPOSE:To obtain a photoconductive member having superior photosensitivity and optical fatigue resistance in a longer wavelength range and causing no deterioration in repeated use by forming a light receiving layer consisting of specified four layered regions on a support for a photoconductive member. CONSTITUTION:A light receiving layer 102 is formed on a support 101 for a photoconductive member by laminating the 1st layered region 106 of 30Angstrom - 50mum thickness made of a partially crystallized Ge- or Ge- and Si-base material contg. H and/or halogen as required, the 2nd layered region 103 of 30Angstrom -50mum thickness made of an amorphous Si- and Ge-base material contg. H and/or halogen, the 3rd layered region 104 of 0.5-90mum thickness made of an amorphous Si-base material contg. H and/or halogen and showing photoconductivity, and the 4th layered region 107 of 0.003-30mum thickness made of an amorphous material contg. Si and C or further contg. H and/or halogen. |
