PURPOSE:To raise the combustion efficiency of a ram rocket engine, by promoting mixing of intake air and fuel gas by opening air intake ports near a fuel nozzle disposed at the front portion of a combustion chamber and on the downstream side of the fuel nozzle so as to distribute intake air to the above two positions. CONSTITUTION:A fuel gas generating section 110 is formed at the front section and an output section 120 is formed at the rear section. Part of the entire intake air is drawn from air intake ports 124a surrounding a fuel nozzle 113 via a diffuser 123a and a distribution chamber 105. At the front section of a combustion chamber, fuel gas is mixed with inake air and a mixed combustion zone Z is defined. In the above zone Z, combustion of metal fuel contained in fuel gas is almost completed. Thus, it is enabled to raise the combustion efficiency. |
