<p>N-2-(5-dimethylaminomethyl 2-furanyl methylthio ethyl) N'-methyl 2-nitro ethene diamine of formula (I) is made by a first stage reaction in which 2-(5-dimethylaminomethyl 2-furanyl methylthio ethylamine of formula (II) is reacted with a silylating agent in presence of an acid catalyst to form a N-trimethyl silyl deriv. of formula (III). In a second stage, this is reacted with 1-methylthio 1-methyl-amino 2-nitro ethene of formula (IV) in presence of a basic catalyst to give (I). An organic sulphonic acid is used as acid catalyst, and an ion exchange resin as basic catalyst.</p> |
