PURPOSE:To prevent an original from being displaced or blown away when a platen cover is opened or closed by composing the platen cover of a turnable frame body and a cover body which has a hinge part that is folded freely. CONSTITUTION:When the platen cover 16 is closed with an original mounted on a platen 14, the hinge part of the cover body 3 projecting downward from the frame body 2 abuts on the original 15 firstly to press the original 15 fixedly. Further, the cover 16 is lowered to guide pins 8 and 9, and 10 and 11 in guide grooves of the frame body 2 away from each other, and consequently cover members 4 and 5 are held in level and matched in the frame body 2 to cover the original 5 while fixing it on the platen 14. When the cover 16 is opened upward after copying operation, the members 4 and 5 folded by the operation of an extending/contracting member 13 so that their top surface come closer to each other, and the original 15 is pressed up to a specific angle. Therefore, when the cover 16 is opened, the original 15 is never blown away. |
