PURPOSE:To stabilize the contact of a magnetic head and a floppy disk for vertical magnetic recording by constituting a recorder in such a manner that a magnetic head contacts with the top surface of the disk placed on a rotatable turntable formed of a magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:The flexible floppy disk 3 is placed on a plane ferrite plate 8a having rigidity and is rotated together with the ferrite plate so that the disk 3 is sandwiched together with the magnetic head 1 by a lower roller 5a. Sliding friction is generated only on one surface to be used of the floppy disk by such constitution, by which the damage entering from the rear of the floppy disk is prevented. Since the ferrite plate 8a forming a closed magnetic flux construction is a plane and exists together with the entire surface of the disk 3, always the stable contact state is maintained in any position where the head 1 comes in. High-density recording is thus attained. |
