The object of the application is a permanent skid surface, especially for test and practice areas for motor vehicles. A coating of 20-25% by weight liquid epoxy resin, 11-18% by weight road tar, 11-13% by weight curing agent and 48-61% by weight filler is applied in two layers to the existing substrate. A mesh or net fabric of polyamide or nylon fibres is placed between the two layers. Conditions similar to black ice are produced by spraying on water. The covering is weather-insensitive and abrasion-resistant. During placing, care should be taken that the surface of the substrate is clean and dry. Priming is then not necessary. Placing can take place at temperatures from 15 DEG C and a relative humidity up to 85%.
