PURPOSE:To move smoothly works in a track and to prevent the unification of the works to one body by providing transfer pins which are attached at a specified pitch to a cyclically driven chain and engage with the rear ends of the respective works in the track. CONSTITUTION:A work moving base 44 on which works of one piece in each row are placed attracts the works by a negative pressure and moves horizontally to a position X and thereafter the base ascends to the position Y where the base is connected to a track 17, then the attraction of the work by the negative pressure is released. The works in six rows of work fitting grooves 73 on the base 44 are scraped from the grooves 73 as the rear ends of the works are pressed by the six transfer pins 23 turned downward in a sprocket 19 and at the same time the works are pushed into the six guiding rods of the track 17 and are transferred while sliding in the guiding rods.
