CURRENT COLLECTOR OF ELECTRIC MOBILE BODY

PURPOSE:To prevent a current collector and a trolley wire from damaging due to worn powder by providing an air nozzle for spraying air to the slide surface of the trolley wire at the end of the collector. CONSTITUTION:A trolley wire 1 is formed of a hollow tube or a solid unit and disposed along the track of an electric mobile body 2. A current collector 5 for the mobile body 2 is mounted to enclose the outer peripheral surface of the wire 1. The collector 5 is formed of two arcuate portions 6a, 6b coupled to each other through a bolt 7 and a nut 8, and connected via an arm 10 to the mobile body 2. Four air nozzles 15 are provided at both ends of the collector 5 in the slide direction toward the outer peripheral surface of the wire 1 at a suitable interval in the circumferential direction of the collector. Worn powder and dusts adhered to the outer peripheral surface of the wire 1 are removed by the compressed air from the nozzles 14.
