摘要 PURPOSE:To input an electric signal to which an optional time base compression has been performed, without deteriorating a real time processing performance of a correlator, by combining a time base compression characteristics of a storage signal and a real time correlation calculating operation which an acoustooptic correlator has, and using an ultrasonic optical modulator as a delay element. CONSTITUTION:A sampling signal circulating and storing circuit 43 is constituted by providing a light incident window on an ultrasonic delay element 9, and using it as the first ultrasonic optical modulator 34. On the other hand, an acoustooptic correlator is constituted of an acoustooptic arithmetic system consisting of the second ultrasonic optical modulator 36 whose ultrasonic wave propagating direction is parallel and opposite to the first modulator, and a laser light source 31, etc., and an electric control system. A signal input of the circulating storing circuit 43 and an output of the correlator are controlled by a timing circuit 3, and when the inside of the first modulator is filled with a compressed ultrasonic signal, a timing signal is sent to an output gate circuit 41 of the correlator, and a correlation output signal of two ultrasonic signals existing in the first and the second modulators is outputted. In this way, a periodical correlation output is obtained repeatedly, and an electric signal by many hours can be inputted and processed.
