<p>A hydrogen storage method and system therefor comprising a novel hydridable composition having the general formula MgxCayNiz where the total of x, y, and z equals one and satisfies the relationships 0 < y ? 0.15 and 0 < z ? 0.15 provided that y/z must be between 1:1 and 1:6. The present invention also includes a source of hydrogen at a temperature and pressure sufficient to hydride the composition and means for heating the hydrided composition to release the hydrogen for use as a source of energy.</p> |
