PURPOSE:An insecticidal composition, containing Avermectin B1 and Bacillus tkuringiensis, and having improved insecticidal effect on many kinds of injurious insects including Plutella xylostella Linnaeus acquiring resistance to chemicals. CONSTITUTION:An insecticidal composition containing Avermectin B1 of the formula (part of R1 is double bond; R2 is CH3; R3 is H) and Bacillus thuringiensis at 1:(1-10) mixing ratio. Both the above-mentioned active substances have a high insecticidal activity, but have disadvantages in that much time is required for the active substances to develop the activity and injurious insects damage crops during the time. The use of mixed the active substances provides remarkable synergistic effect. The above-mentioned composition is, if necessary, prepared in any dosage form of emulsion, wettable powder, dust, etc.
